I think that my buddy and I are going to try and hit up the Sylvia/Twin June 20th in Annandale. Still not sure yet, but sounds like it's going to be a fun time. Any other gear that you'd recommend?

The Mississippi River is an incredible resource. Pool 2 contains the best population of quality walleye and sauger in the area. The most popular time to fish walleye and sauger is in the fall and winter, when fish are concentrated in the area between the St. Paul airport and the I-694 bridge.

Thursday we spent the morning checking both main river and backwater areas. Despite the heavy rains on Wednesday, we found the clarity to be alright and the fish willing to bite. Covering a lot of water was the key, because when you found one biting, there were more biting too!
